“The best way to predict the future is to create it!”
- Peter Drucker, Austrian American Management Consultant
Our strategy is simple yet essential: Communication | Flexibility | Navigation
Navigating a vessel is akin to playing a strategic chess game, where the art of predicting the future is intertwined with the ability to actively shape it. Much like a master mariner orchestrating a crew to deftly employ diverse tactics, we steer our ship through the unpredictable waters, utilizing the winds of change to navigate through turbulent seas with unwavering precision. In this dynamic maritime environment, our approach to strategy is not merely calculated; it is a proactive and forward-thinking endeavor, where we create the future by seamlessly integrating organic and pragmatic elements into every aspect of our business. Just as a skilled sailor anticipates the twists and turns of the ocean, we too foresee and shape the course of our enterprise, embracing the unpredictable yet empowering nature of the journey ahead.
Miraculously, we've condensed this strategy into three fundamental phases that we've coined respectively "The AESIT Three-Step Business Strategy®," summarized below, providing a streamlined approach to guide businesses towards success.
1. Communication.
Primarily, effective communication results in the satisfaction of all stakeholders, providing a sense of achievement. Our communication is clear, transparent, and avoids redundancy. We recognize the importance of addressing all stakeholder concerns to successfully reach your organizational goals and objectives.
2. Flexibility.
Furthermore, our flexibility fosters inclusivity and demonstrates a keen awareness of the challenges posed by transitioning cultures, resistance to technology, and the goals of stakeholders. We systematically eliminate barriers, such as silos, that hinder the smooth flow of ideas. This approach allows us to uncover optimal solutions for your environment with minimal disruption to operations.
3. Navigation.
In conclustion, we leverage our assembled intelligence, best practices, and expert experience to meticulously develop and implement a tailored course for guiding your consortium towards its designated destination. At the core of our approach lies the belief that the most effective way to foresee the future is to actively shape it. By combining strategic insights and proactive planning, we empower your organization to navigate the complexities ahead with confidence. In essence, we don't just predict the future; by partnering together we create it.
“Teamwork is the ability to work together toward a common vision. The ability to direct individual accomplishment toward organizational objectives. It is the fuel that allows common people to attain uncommon results."
- Andrew Carnegie, Industrialist and Philanthropist

The Architectural Graphic Standards (AGS), officially endorsed by the American Institute of Architects (AIA), serves as the definitive guide for architects, designers, and builders. Offering comprehensive instructions for visualizing materials, products, systems, and assemblies, it covers a wide range of elements such as door frames, roof designs, air ducts, and outdoor sports facilities. With a history spanning nearly eight decades, AGS has consistently been a staple resource on every architect's bookshelf.
In the latest 9th Edition Supplement, AESIT® was privileged to contribute to this esteemed publication. AGS is widely acknowledged by architects, designers, and contractors as the authoritative source for graphic standards and other standard content within the building industry. It delivers exhaustive guidelines for visually representing materials, products, systems, and assemblies.
In conclusion, the meticulous efforts of our diverse and collaborative team have brought forth a truly modernized edition of Architectural Graphic Standards. Today's transition to online accessibility with a user-friendly interface ensures that a wealth of graphic standards is now at the fingertips of architects, designers, engineers, and graphic artists alike. This evolution marks a significant positive impact, fostering innovation and efficiency in the dynamic field of architecture. We are proud to have contributed to this transformative journey.
In collaboration with a prominent architectural firm based in Washington DC, AESIT® played a pivotal role in providing engineering support for a remarkable project in Hong Kong, China – a 62-story tower spanning 1.25 million square feet and overlooking Victoria Harbor. Under the leadership of Leo A. Daly and Cesar Pelli and Associates, our team contributed to the intricate design, featuring a detailed linen finish of stainless steel exterior and clear glass adorned with fiber optic lighting, creating the illusion of a luminous beacon over the harbor.
AESIT took charge of developing the design criteria and specifications essential for determining maximum pedestrian occupancy and ensuring adequate egress requirements. The skyscraper's appeal is further heightened by an innovative design, which includes an award-winning curvilinear pedestrian bridge that connects the building to Hong Kong's intricate bridge system, boasting a record-breaking garage depth.
Throughout the design process, our team adhered to the principles of Feng Shui, incorporating the five elements of wood, fire, earth, metal, and water to enhance the overall harmony and balance of the structure.
AESIT® was commissioned to participate in the renovation of a townhouse situated in the historic district of Old Town Alexandria, an independent city in northern Virginia, United States. The homeowner desired more space, leading to the removal and replacement of a circa 1960 addition. The architect envisioned a first-level open floor plan featuring a combined living room and kitchen. The second level boasts an expanded master bedroom and bath, along with a guest room, all complemented by the convenience of an upstairs laundry room.
We focused on producing superior designs, our team, comprising an architect, builder, and apprentice, worked collaboratively to elevate the aesthetics of the residence. The Alexandria Historic District, situated in the City of Alexandria, Virginia, holds the prestigious designation of a National Historic Landmark District. Renowned for featuring some of the most well-preserved instances of late 18th and early 19th-century urban architecture in the nation, it encompasses Old Town Alexandria and its environs.
Transforming from a historic seaport to a dynamic hub, the waterfront seamlessly blends well-preserved architecture with modern events. Old Town beckons as a sought-after destination, weaving a captivating tale of the city's timeless allure. Our renovations contribute to this enchanting narrative, enhancing the cityscape and ensuring Alexandria remains a vibrant and cherished.
AESIT® was awarded a contract to maintain a legacy Configuration Management System (CMS) for a federal government agency. After noticing the legacy desktop version relied on spreadsheets and efficient databases, we proposed an upgraded enterprise network solution to be accessed by multiple stakeholders. The new server-based solution was approved, acquired, and installed with enhanced functionality onto the production enterprise to support CCTV, Perimeter, and Physical Security inventory tracking initiatives. This solution was the first of its kind to be successfully implemented in compliance with the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) and the Federal Information Security Management Act (FISMA) high-baseline requirements, at this agency. A system designed to help plan everything for a building or facility, including virtually every facet of day-to-day operations, is computer-aided facility management software. It is defined by the International Facility Management Association (IFMA) as the process of aligning physical workspaces and facilities with an organization's people and operations. While it shares some tasks with these other types of software, CAFM software has evolved into its own niche, offering slightly different capabilities than CMMS, EAM, or IWMS. CAFM systems provide daily management of desk space and conference rooms, as well as big-picture analysis of whether an organization's current office space meets its business requirements. Software products and support are discontinued.
AESIT® migrated a nationwide enterprise network from a legacy, on-premises Microsoft Office desktop software model to a cloud-based Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) model to support the client's network modernization initiatives. We transferred all user data, access rights, security, policies, and licensing. Including files, documents, email, calendars, contacts, and more. Overnight, our team tirelessly managed all aspects of the enterprise migration with zero downtime! End users were trained prior to installation and received ongoing 24/7 support. Microsoft 365 is a family of products from Microsoft that includes productivity software, collaboration tools, and cloud-based services. It includes online services such as Outlook.com, OneDrive, and Microsoft Teams; programs formerly known as Microsoft Office such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook on Microsoft Windows, macOS, mobile devices, and the web, and enterprise products and services such as Exchange Server, SharePoint, and Yammer. It also includes subscription options that include subscription-based licenses for both desktop and mobile software, as well as hosted email and intranet services. Microsoft 365 is the standard in office suites and the only one that's as powerful online as it is on the desktop. Nothing else comes close in terms of power, flexibility, or ease of use.
AESIT® recommended and facilitated the implementation of IBM's TRIRIGA Integrated Workplace Management System to meet agency requirements. We initiated, planned, executed, and deployed a solution that combined IBM's Maximo Enterprise Asset Management application with the new integrated Intelligent Workplace Management System (iWMS) to support the facility, security, and IT departments' initiatives. This solution was implemented in compliance with the agency's National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) and Federal Information Security Management Act (FISMA) requirements. End-user training and support was provided before and after the migration and implementation was completed. TRIRIGA® from IBM is an intelligent asset management solution for an IWMS that enables you to meet the demands of modern facility management. AI-infused real-time analytics enable dynamic space design. The IBM Maximo® suite is a collection of enterprise asset management, monitoring, predictive maintenance and reliability planning software. It is offered as a managed SaaS or as a standalone deployment in any Red Hat OpenShift® environment. IBM App Connect is a middleware platform that enables integration to transform, enrich, route, and process communications and data. The IBM middleware platform must be used to transfer data between the Maximo Application Suite and the TRIRIGA Application Suite. Since 1911, IBM has been an industry leader in emerging technologies.
AESIT® coordinated all technical aspects of interdisciplinary engineering programs, design teams, and application end users to deliver design concepts and requirements for the WMATA Silver Line rail transit extension. (AEC-Technology-GIS) The Silver Line is a rapid transit line of the Washington Metro system consisting of 34 stations in Loudoun County, Fairfax County, Arlington County, Virginia, Washington, D.C., and Prince George's County, Maryland. AESIT® was contracted to provide technical project management and oversight for environmental impact submittals for the proposed Dulles Corridor Metro-Rail Expansion Project, providing daily training sessions, project team meetings, monitoring, and help desk support for engineering hardware, software, optimization, and disaster recovery. By ensuring that all engineering personnel, business applications, and equipment remained online and functional throughout the project lifecycle, project milestones were successfully met! At project completion, our team earned a Certificate of Achievement Performance Award for excellence in training, managing, and scheduling personnel and deliverables that exceeded project management objectives, budget, and quality. The Silver Line runs from Ashburn, Virginia to downtown Largo, Maryland. The Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority (WMATA), also known as Metro, is a tri-jurisdictional government agency that provides transit services throughout the Washington metropolitan area including Maryland, Virginia, and Washington DC.
AESIT® was contracted by a nationwide organization to maintain their IT infrastructure with a focus on local area networks (LANs), wide area networks (WANs), and cyber security. Our responsibilities included installing new hardware and on-site servers, enforcing licensing agreements, managing software-network interactions, and ensuring network integrity and security. We procured new hardware, rolled out new software, managed disk images for new computer installations, ensured that software, domain, and web hosting licenses were paid for and up to date, maintained standards for server installations and applications, monitored network performance, and checked for security breaches and poor data management practices. AESIT® supported the needs of accounting, administration, property management, acquisitions, customer relationship management (CRM), lease management, marketing, training, and end users 24 hours a day, seven days a week for all installed hardware and software development solutions. We installed high-speed WiFi access points at their headquarters and remote locations and established a Disaster Recovery Plan. Our team helped our client plan, deploy, mitigate and maintain network solutions that aligned with their business goals, objectives, and budget.
AESIT® was commissioned by a leading marketing company to construct and dismantle a freestanding structural exhibit to demonstrate a new SUV for an Italian luxury sports car and SUV manufacturer based in Sant'Agata Bolognese and controlled by the Volkswagen Group through its subsidiary Audi. We designed and tested the display for Lamborghini's Urus, the world's first super sport utility vehicle that combines the driving experience of a car and an SUV. 3.6 seconds from zero to 62 mph. Elegant fabric and vinyl graphics were used in the display, which also included music, film, motion graphics, animation, lighting and a logo. To entice tourists to admire the new SUV, the super sports car was presented on an illuminated carpet platform with music, lighting and a movie. The Lamborghini Urus concept was unveiled at the 2012 Beijing Auto Show on April 23, 2012. In 2012, the SUV was exhibited at Pebble Beach. The engine, which was shared with the Gallardo, produced 600 horsepower (592 bhp; 441 kW) and was combined with an all-wheel drive system. The SUV's muscular styling was influenced by the company's V12 flagship, the Aventador. Urus derives its name from Urus, the ancestor of modern domestic cattle known as aurochs. In 2021, Automobili Lamborghini enjoyed its best ever sales results worldwide. Total sales were up 13% compared to 2020, and one of the models that contributed to breaking the sales record was the Urus Super SUV.
AESIT® has been granted the opportunity to participate in the provision of access control, CCTV and perimeter intrusion detection systems for Naval Station Rota, Spain. NAVSTA Rota supports the strategic priorities of Naval Forces Europe Africa Central (EURAFCENT), Sixth Fleet and COCOM by providing airport and port facilities, security, force protection, logistical support, administrative support and emergency services to all U.S. and NATO personnel. Our cleared personnel provided access control, technical schematics, engineering, and as-built documentation for all installed security systems at the Naval Air Station in Spain for NAVSTA Rota. The base is shared by Spain and the United States. It remains under the Spanish flag and is commanded by a Spanish Vice Admiral. While the Spanish Navy is responsible for the external security of the base, both navies are responsible for the internal security. NAVSTA Rota is technically a tenant facility of Spanish Naval Base Rota. NAVSTA Rota's vision is to continue to excel as an enduring, strategically located naval installation providing operational and logistical support to all tenant commands and transiting warfighters.
AESIT® was selected to participate in the delivery of access control, CCTV and perimeter intrusion detection systems at Naval Air Station Keywest, Florida. NAS Key West's national security mission supports the operational and readiness requirements of the Department of Defense, Department of Homeland Security, National Guard units, federal agencies, and allied forces. The Navy's Blue Angels served under this command until 1948. Our personnel with DoD clearances provided access control, technical diagrams, engineering, and as-built documentation for all installed security equipment at Naval Air Station Key West. The station is equipped with a sophisticated Tactical Combat Training System (TCTS), similar to the one depicted in the popular movie "Top Gun," that tracks and records aerial maneuvers. NAS Key West remained open and evolved into a state-of-the-art air-to-air combat training facility for all military services.
AESIT® was contracted to document the consolidation of emergency telecommunications and radio systems, legacy security and fire alarm circuits with new equipment, and video surveillance from numerous remote locations into a centralized management facility at Naval Base Guam (NBG). NBG is a strategic U.S. Navy facility located in Apra Harbor on the Orote Peninsula. Cleared engineers designed access control, CCTV, fire monitoring, intrusion detection systems, and command center console design with video wall rear projector systems and as-built documentation for all installed surveillance camera systems and digital network camera systems with advanced digital recording, infrared night vision, pan-tilt-zoom, and fire equipment. NBG continues to play a critical role as a strong base and naval power for the United States in the Western Pacific. In 2009, NBG was combined with Andersen Air Force Base to form Joint Region Marianas, a Navy-controlled joint base. The island of Guam is located approximately 3.2 k miles west of Hawaii, 1.5 k miles east of the Philippines, and south of Japan. Guam is a territory of the United States and its residents are U.S. citizens.
